Last year, the research agency BCGroup conducted a study of the data center services market.
The purpose of this study was to study the market before launching a new data center.
The objectives of the study included:
- assessment of market capacity in general and by region;
- competitive analysis: determining the composition of competitors, the list of their services, the location of data centers, the level of fault tolerance and other characteristics;
- monitoring prices for services;
- segmentation of potential consumers and forecasting demand for services of a new data center.
The methods used to collect information were desk research, expert interviews, an online survey of organizational employees and a secret audit to monitor competitors' prices.
